Customer Sales Advisor | Mark Bates Ltd | Grantham, Lincolnshire

•Full time: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am – 5:30pm
•Based at Premier House, Londonthorpe Road, Grantham, Lincolnshire, NG31 9SN
•Basic salary + commission; OTE £19,000 - £23,000 + p/a following probationary period.
•During probationary period, basic salary + guaranteed commission totalling £16,000 p/a.

The Role
•Handle all incoming enquiries, in a professional, personable and timely manner;
•Establish the nature of the call and identify the appropriate action required;
•Use problem-solving skills and logic to identify solutions that meet our customers needs;
•Make outbound calls to existing Mark Bates Ltd customers (no cold-calling involved)
•Advise new and existing customers on our range of products;
•Generate new and renewal sales;
•Meet sales and performance targets and KPIs;
•Accurately record all pertinent information;
•Provide exceptional customer service;
•Use custom-built CRMs;
•Ensure Data Protection requirements are satisfied at all times;
•Liaise with other departments to ensure effective and efficient customer service;
•Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with colleagues throughout the organisation.

The Department
The Digital team sits within our IT department providing web and mobile app development, design, SEO, social and email marketing services to the whole company. This role is ideal for junior entry-level candidates that have experience in some of these fields with a desire to progress their career in the digital services or web development sectors.

The Role
• Digital copywriting, collection and integration of campaign or page assets and content for MBL and its sister companies;
• Executing the SEO strategy with guidance from the Front-End Web Developer;
• Supporting the organisation by writing helpful documentation user guides for our web applications;
• Creating new pages and updating existing pages using our CMS with guidance from the Front-End Web Developer;
• Managing digital support tickets and escalate to a member of the digital development team where necessary;
• Working collaboratively with our internal digital, sales and project management teams to deliver on new and existing projects;
• Connecting with end users on a technical support basis over live chat; and
• Any other duties that may reasonably be required from time to time.

Requirements
• An understanding of the importance of UX and SEO;
• An appreciation and an eye for good design and brand awareness;
• Some knowledge of web-based technologies e.g. HTML, CSS etc.

Junior Web Developer | Mark Bates Ltd | Grantham, Lincolnshire

The Department
The IT department within MBL provides software development, web development, web design and system infrastructure maintenance and administration to the whole company. This role is ideal for junior, entry-level candidates that have some experience in creating and maintaining websites and web applications.

The Role
• Create and update current websites in line with any new brand changes or designs;
• Perform regular data maintenance tasks as required;
• Provide support to all departments that might need help with online tools;
• Report on helpdesk overdue jobs/problems to Line Manager on daily/weekly/monthly basis;
• Create mini-sites and HTML emails;
• Report on analytics and monitor SEO performance;
• Any other duties that may reasonably be required from time to time.

Requirements
Essential
• Confident ability with HTML, CSS and JavaScript;
• Good design appreciation

Desirable
• jQuery, Angular JS;
• PHP and MySQL knowledge;
• Knowledge of MS SQL Server;
• Apache
