What is the Healthcare policy?
Our new Home Employment Insurance with Healthcare is an extension of our existing Deluxe policy, it’s specifically designed for those receiving a Personal Health Budget or employing personal assistants to carry out healthcare tasks. It offers an additional £5m Public Liability
How many carers are covered under one policy?
There are no limits on the number of carers covered with the Home Employment Insurance policy.
Who is classed as the employer?
The employer is the person looking after the affairs of the person receiving care, this could also be the same person.
Am I covered for redundancy?
Yes. Our Plus and Deluxe policy cover you for redundancy and the Deluxe also covers notice period. You must inform us as soon as possible and speak to our legal advice helpline before making the employee(s) redundant.
What is your cancellation process?
If a policy is cancelled 14 days after its set up a full refund will be given. After the first 14 days the refunds are done on a quarterly basis, unless a claim is in place.
How do we inform people about renewals?
We always send renewal reminders a month in advance to service users but we also offer an online portal for support organisations, they can log in at any time to renew or cancel managed account policies.
